Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how PHIM HUB ("PHIM HUB", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the PHIM HUB desktop or Android application, related services, or this website. PHIM HUB is currently under development.
The current PHIM HUB design is intended to help users discover and watch publicly available YouTube videos. It does not require users to create a PHIM HUB account and, at this stage, does not request access to a user's private YouTube account data through OAuth.
2. Use of YouTube API Services
PHIM HUB uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API and the YouTube embedded player, to search for, display, and play publicly available YouTube content.
By using features that rely on YouTube API Services, you are also subject to Google's privacy practices. Please review the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
PHIM HUB does not request, collect, or store your YouTube password or Google Account password.
3. Information PHIM HUB may process
3.1 Search requests
When you search for videos, the search keywords you enter are sent to PHIM HUB's server-side API layer and then to YouTube Data API Services in order to return relevant public video results.
3.2 Public YouTube API data
PHIM HUB may display public API data returned by YouTube, such as video titles, channel names, thumbnails, video identifiers, publication dates, and related public metadata required for the app's discovery experience.
3.3 Technical request data
Infrastructure providers involved in delivering PHIM HUB services may process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, device/browser information, error information, and network metadata for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and service operation.
3.4 No sale of personal information
PHIM HUB does not sell personal information. PHIM HUB does not use YouTube API data to create hidden user profiles or independently calculate substitute YouTube engagement metrics.
4. Third-party services
- YouTube / Google — YouTube Data API Services and embedded playback.
- Cloudflare — server-side API routing, security, caching, and delivery infrastructure.
- Application distribution providers — if PHIM HUB is later distributed through an app store or software download service.
Those providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Data retention
PHIM HUB is designed to minimize unnecessary storage of YouTube API data and request information. Temporary caching may be used to reduce duplicate API requests and improve reliability. Cached public YouTube API responses are intended to be temporary and used only for service operation and performance. We will update this policy if future versions introduce user accounts, synchronization, personalized libraries, analytics, advertising, payments, or other features that materially change our data practices.
6. Data Deletion and User Requests
PHIM HUB currently does not require Google or YouTube account authentication and does not store Authorized YouTube user data obtained through OAuth.
Search requests and limited technical request information may be processed temporarily for service operation, security, reliability, abuse prevention, and caching. Users may request access to or deletion of personal information held by PHIM HUB by contacting us at luannvkr@gmail.com.
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, PHIM HUB will delete applicable personal information that it controls, except where retention is required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or reasonably required for legitimate service operation.
Requests concerning data held directly by Google or YouTube must be directed to Google or YouTube under their applicable privacy controls and policies.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the services and data we process. YouTube API credentials used by PHIM HUB are intended to be kept in the server-side API layer rather than embedded in publicly distributed client source code.
8. Children
PHIM HUB is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. YouTube content and embedded playback remain subject to YouTube's own policies, settings, and content designations.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PHIM HUB develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.
